Why are you a physio? I love solving puzzles and having a chat.
What do you enjoy treating the most? I really enjoy treating people who are wanting to change regardless of their injury, especially when we get to the fun of rehab. Doesn’t matter if it’s low back pain, sports injury or a grumpy shoulder. In saying that I’ve got a nerdy fascination with all things tendon and nerve related.
If you had a superpower, what would it be? I’m Scottish, that’s enough super for anyone.
What’s your worst/ most embarrassing injury? When I was 14 years old in an attempt to impress a girl, I said ‘hey watch this!’. I then attempted to jump a fence… And woke up in hospital with a head injury, bilateral sciatica and an unfortunate disagreement with the surf.
What is the one thing you say the most to your patients? You can always get better.
If stuck on a desert island what are your 3 must have items?
Coffee on tap
Music on vinyl
Something heavy to lift or throw.
If not in the clinic where might you be found? Coffee shop. Beach. Basecamp… Usually heckling.

Hanging out with the family.
The beach and trying to relive my days as a hammer thrower or keeping up on the judo mat with a far more talented and younger training group.
