Have a question about Physiotherapy, our services, appointments and what to expect?

Below we have compiled a list of frequently asked questions we get. Have a read through and if you cannot find what you’re after feel free to contact us via the form on this page or reach out to us on the contact page.

No, physiotherapists are first contact practitioners so you may book in without a referral from your GP.

Yes, we offer HICAPS on the spot claiming and EFTPOS facilities. HICAPS supports most health insurance funds for more information.

To claim on the spot health rebates, you must present your health insurance card at the time of payment. Alternatively, an invoice can be issued to allow for self-claiming through your private health provider. We also use Medipass which integrates with HICAPS to provide seamless claiming if you forget your health insurance card.

We like our initial physiotherapy appointments ideally to be 45 minutes long and subsequent follow up appointments are 30 minutes.

Headache and running assessments are 60mins long.

Gym based rehab appointments last up to 60 minutes.

Longer appointments are available if arranged with your physiotherapist prior to your consult.

Please bring any referrals/paperwork (relevant for Workcover Qld , Extended Primary Care Management plans, DVA or MVA claims). If you have any relevant scans such as X-Rays, Ultrasounds or MRI’s related to your condition that can be helpful.

Please wear loose fitting clothing that will allow access to and movement of the injured or painful areas. This allows for better assessment and therefore better understanding of your current pain or condition.

We aim to get you back to full health and activity as quickly as possible. The number of consults required will be based on;

  • how well your injury is recovering,
  • how you respond to treatment
  • what your goals are

This can be discussed with your treating therapist and will be continually assessed as you progress.

Yes. We accept Chronic Disease Management (CDM) plans (formally known as Enhance Primary Care or EPC plan). For pensioners and holders of medical cards these are bulk billed. For all others they will cover part of your treatment cost.

Note: Please call to arrange your CDM appointment. You will need to provide a copy of your CDM referral at your initial consultation in order to proceed with treatment and management of your condition.

Yes. We accept all workcover Qld and associated providers, DVA and CTP claims.
